Keeping your data safe should be easy. Keep copies of everything; and then if your office is afflicted with fire, flood or theft, nothing should be lost. And if you want a more sophisticated system that allows you to pinpoint specific days or month ends during the past year or so from which to restore your users’ files, that takes a bit more organising, but it shouldn’t be too difficult. Surprisingly though, many businesses just aren’t as prepared as they think they are when disaster strikes. You’ve probably heard stories of businesses “backing up” for years, only to find (when they need to restore from them), that their backups weren’t working at all. This is not fiction, it’s amazingly common.

• Daily backups with tape retention periods facilitating specific file restores
• Monthly backups with tapes retained for several years
• Backup of open files
• Full disaster recovery preparation & testing
• Off site tape storage & rotation
